Do you feel like: wherever I look, I see people staring at their smartphone?
I’m not
I see people having fun with their Rubik’s cube!

How to direct a bunch of avatars towards a target zone, using only hand gestures, no controllers?
I'm doing these tests as prepatory steps for a #Quest3 game I'm developing. Should the interface be hyper efficient? Or is some kind of clumsyness acceptable, because it's a game?
Still trying my best to do something useful with the "Distant Hand" effect I created for my #quest3
Here's an attempt to use it to control a bunch of avatars
Pro tip: If you want a home office, just drag the living room from the visionOS simulator to your backyard. Now the virtual room you are used to test your apps in is just as good as real.
To all the people/bots responding "but Quest 3 does this too", yes I know... there is different approaches out there. Feel free to stick with the one that fits you.
While testing hand occlusion, another test situation occured
Even the partly hidden left hand is tracked by the #quest3, be it with a little delay
Shall that be because there's "overlapping hands" data included in the dataset to train the hand detection?
I put on a #quest3 during a train trip and I 'interacted' with a fellow passenger (a friend of mine)
It made me wonder about the future of XR use in public space
To what extent can we involve other people? Assuming they're not really bothered by the virtual items they can't see
I created a script to control an avatar with a pointing gesture
Even though it's just a 'one gesture interface', it was so much fun to play around with it. Perhaps because it's #AR, happening in the real world, with all its quircky unexpected 'interventions'

Today I tested a game concept called "GazeMaze". When you gaze at a shape, it grows. So unavoidably your environment gradually becomes totally inaccessible.
It's an experience that works well on an AR device offering full immersion. That's why I wanted to try it on my new Quest3

"it may be a while before you can climb inside a video game but the time will come"
