The last time the USA hosted a World Cup Italy lost in the final on penalties. 32 years on as the competition returns to the states they haven’t even qualified.
When I think of some of the players they produced to see them miss their 3rd straight World Cup is incomprehensible

@YesWeCrann The fan tuned journalist and then getting the job covering the team you support must have been a real thrill.
Writing some of the stuff you had to write knowing how much it hurt inside must have been hard but you did so with vigour.
