Our Sixth Formers celebrated World Book Day with a visit to the local library. They returned the books they had finished reading and enjoyed choosing a new one to take back with them. A lovely way to discover new stories and keep the love of reading going! 📖✨ @PCABlackpool

Some fantastic work in the darkroom at B&FC today! KS5 students have been stepping back in time, learning how the very first photographs were made and producing their own stereograms! 📸 @PCAOracle

🌿🐦 Our Key Stage 5 students have been busy being eco warriors today! They made eco-friendly bird feeders and distributed them in our local park, helping to support wildlife in the community. A fantastic example of caring for our environment! 💚✨ @PCABlackpool

Thanks to a kind flower donation from a local store, our Sixth Formers enjoyed a hands-on Maths lesson exploring tallying, estimating and calculating real-world costs. Functional Maths at its best! 👏📊🌷 @PCABlackpool

Our Sixth Formers have been busy in the kitchen, whipping up a storm as they prepared a delicious chilli con carne for their peers - the perfect treat on a wet and rainy day! 🌧️👏

Our Sixth Form Art & Design College group have been exploring repeating pattern artwork, printing and tessellations. After discussing the fascinating work of M.C. Escher, students went on to create their very own repeating print designs. @PCABlackpool

Our Sixth Form Christmas Enterprise event was a great success. From our crowd-pleasing ‘Dough on the Go’ pizzas to the delicious treats and beautifully crafted homemade gifts, there was something for everyone. Thank you to all who supported the event and made it so special. 🎄✨

Our budding Sixth Form chefs cooked up a storm in the Oracle kitchen this week! From prepping ingredients to perfecting flavours, they whisked up their very own cheese sauce to create unique, personalised versions of Mac & Cheese. 🧀✨@PCABlackpool

Some of our students enjoyed a rewards trip today for achieving 100% attendance. The group visited The Backlot cinema to watch a new film called ‘Sketch’. The group loved the film and had a great morning! @PCABlackpool

Today our Sixth Formers welcomed Laura, from the Department of Work and Pensions, who came to talk about careers and her own career journey. Later everyone took part in an activity about different job roles and discussed work experience. What an informative morning! @PCABlackpool

Sixth Form students visited Blackpool North train station to explore the Railway200 travelling museum. This fantastic exhibition is touring stations across the UK, giving schools the chance to learn all about the history and future of train travel through interactive activities!
