Nature’s Way Cooperative (Fiji) Ltd has received #BAF approval for its upgraded HTFA chamber, enabling commercial treatment of fruit fly host produce for export. The first papaya shipment has successfully arrived in New Zealand, with #PHAMA Plus supporting the upgrade.

Taro production in Samoa faced challenges due to limited planting material. Since 2023, #PHAMAPlus has partnered with Min of Agriculture & Fisheries and the private sector to establish nurseries. This led to an increase in taro production, income and reliable access to tiapula.

Government, farmers and industry gathered in Santo, Vanuatu for the Cacao Forum led by #MALFB. A new ‘Island Focus’ approach and a review of the 2020–25 Cacao Strategy will guide the next phase. #PHAMAPlus is helping support early policy advice for review of the Cacao Strategy.
