Good performance by all the lads this morning, got the early goal which always helps against generally a well organised team who we’ve struggled to break down a couple of times this season already.

2 bad starts to both halves seen us concede early on despite having good spells without creating too much. Disappointing not to carry on with our momentum after equalising. On the wrong end of a penalty shoot out this time but still 3 cups to play for.

Two more points dropped in a game where we have the lion share of possession but don’t create enough clear cut chances. Decent performance considering the awful pitch and the poor numbers. Great finish by Scott to salvage a point late on.

RESULT Vineyard 3-0 PLCC FC Disappointing morning for us, didn’t adjust to the awful pitch and tried to play like we do on Astro, which was impossible, conceded 2 set piece goals 1st half, mixed it up a bit 2nd half and was some improvement but still didn’t create anything.

Good performance on a horrible pitch. Created a few chances in the 1st half but never put them away, second half Finnigans grew in to it & had a couple of chances of their own. We scored 2 in 2 mins around the 75th minute then Finnigans pulled one back to make it a nervy finish.

Thanks to Wallasey for giving up home advantage and playing at an unusual KO time just to get the game played.

Good result and performance this morning v top of the league. Lads knew they needed to write the wrongs of the 1st 45 last week, and that’s what they done. Deserved lead at HT then good solid team performance in the 2nd.,

No excuses big squad, full of confidence just had a bad 45 minutes and got punished. Bit better second half but the damage was already done.

Frustrating morning against a well organised Finnigans. Had a lot of the ball but just couldn’t break them down. Probably a fair result with how well they defended.
