⭐️Peoria Sunday Morning League Alumni Currently Playing Professional Ball⭐️ The 2014 Peoria Sunday Morning League Rookie of the Year, Mason McCoy (Miller Lite Falcons 2014, 2020), continues to carve out his professional career in 2025. After making his San Diego Padres debut at shortstop last season, McCoy remains one of the most reliable gloves in professional baseball. Known as a defensive wizard, he’s frequently featured on SportsCenter’s Top 10 for his jaw-dropping range and highlight-reel plays in the infield. In Triple-A El Paso this year, McCoy has been more than steady at the plate as well, posting a .269 batting average with 11 home runs, 54 RBI, 17 stolen bases, and an .803 OPS across 316 at-bats. His consistency earned him another call-up to San Diego in April, and although a finger injury slowed his big-league opportunities, McCoy has remained a vital depth piece for the Padres during their 2025 playoff chase. San Diego currently sits at 74–57, tied atop the NL West and holding the second NL Wild Card position as the team pushes toward October baseball. Cole Cook (Pour Bros. Jacks 2016, 2020) has firmly established himself as one of the most dependable pitchers in the Frontier League, and 2025 has been no exception. The left-hander was named to his fourth consecutive All-Star Team, a testament to both his consistency and the respect he’s earned around the league. In 117 innings of work for the Schaumburg Boomers, Cook leads the Boomers in K’s with 112 and has also posted an impressive 9–4 record, giving his club quality starts and a chance to win every time he’s on the mound. Cook looks to lead the Boomers into the Frontier League Playoffs. Jarrod Watkins (Crusens 2014, Country Club BBQ 2015) continues to be a steady contributor for the Lake Erie Crushers in the Frontier League. The versatile infielder earned a spot in the 2024 Frontier League All-Star Game and has followed it up with another solid season in 2025. Watkins is hitting .255 with 83 hits, 4 HRs, and 27 RBIs, providing consistent at-bats and finding ways to get on base for Lake Erie. His combination of defense and steady offense has made him an important piece in the Crushers’ lineup again this summer. Ethan Skender (Crusens 2014) joined the Gastonia Ghost Peppers of the Atlantic League for the 2025 season and has been a steady contributor in their infield. The versatile defender has handled multiple spots while also producing at the plate, posting a .269 batting average with 12 homers, 57 RBIs, and 72 hits so far this year. His ability to get on base and provide consistent at-bats has made him a reliable piece of the Ghost Peppers’ everyday lineup. Ryan Vogel (Firehouse Pizza 2021-2023) has made an immediate impact in his rookie season with the New York Boulders of the Frontier League. The former Bradley Brave, known for his blend of speed, defense, and patient at-bats, Vogel quickly established himself as an everyday outfielder and was recognized as the team’s Rookie of the Year in 2025. In his debut campaign, Vogel posted a .263 batting average with 60 hits, including 10 doubles and 2 home runs, while adding 16 RBIs and showing great plate discipline with 43 walks. He also showcased his speed with 17 stolen bases, giving the Boulders a spark at the top and bottom of the order. Jake Curtis (Tin Lizard Titans 2023) was signed earlier this Spring by the Chicago White. The former Lincoln Land Logger was fantastic out of the bullpen for the Chicago White Sox Rookie Ball team in the Arizona Complex League. His 22 IP, Curtis has a 2.05 ERA, 4 Saves, and 29 strikeouts earned him a call-up to Single-A Kannapolis Cannon Ballers. Across both teams, he has a combined record of 4-3 with a 4.18 ERA in 47.1 innings, with 5 saves and 57 strikeouts.

The #1 Moment from the 2025 Peoria Sunday Morning League Season ”Pour Bros. Jacks Win 2025 Peoria Sunday Morning League Title” On 8/12/26 the Pour Bros. Jacks defeated the Firehouse Expos 3-1 to clinch their 2nd Title in 3 years. Casey Hollan started the game on the mound, tossing 4 innings, allowing only 1 run (0 earned), scattering just 3 hits, and striking out 7 with 1 walk. Noah Chase took it from there by allowing 0 hits, 0 Runs, and striking out 4 to earn the 3 inning save. Justin Janssen would add an insurance double off the wall of Dozer Park in the top of the 7th Inning, but that was more than enough for the combination of Hollan and Chase. The night before in Game 1, the combination of great defense and pitching shut out the Firehouse Expos. The Game 1 Jacks pitching trio included: Joe Nelan: 2 IP, 0 H, 3 Ks Brandon Ward: 2 IP, 0 H, 3 Ks Ethan Zaayenga: 3 IP, 2 H, 4 Ks. Trever Goforth, Evan Pogioli, and Micah McCoy each batted home a run in Game 1. The Champion Jacks finished with a final record of 22-8. #psmltop30 #PeoriaSundayMorningLeague @jacks_psml

2025 Peoria Sunday Morning League Season Moment #2 “Clay McConkey breaks All-Time Win Record” On July 10, 2025, Clay McConkey etched his name atop Peoria Sunday Morning League history. In his 18th season, the longtime ace claimed career win No. 104, breaking a 61-year-old record previously held by Harry Dean Blair. McConkey captured the moment, spinning a complete-game gem against the Tin Lizard Titans. He struck out six, scattered five hits, and allowed just two runs, delivering the kind of steady, workmanlike performance that has defined his career. The Falcons’ offense gave him breathing room early and often. Ethan Sosnowski launched a two-run homer. Brian Quinn, McConkey’s longtime teammate, laced a two-run RBI double, and Alex Seaton stayed hot with two doubles. Noah Campbell chipped in as well with an RBI single to round out the support for an 8-2 Miller Lite Falcons victory. #PSMLTop30 #PeoriaSundayMorningLeague #ClayMcConkey @MillerLitePSML

2025 Peoria Sunday Morning League Season Moment #3 8/6/25 “Casey Hollan No-Hitter Keeps Jacks Season Alive” Casey Hollan delivered one of the most dominant performances of the Peoria Sunday Morning League season, tossing a complete-game no-hitter to keep the Pour Bros. Jacks playoff hopes alive with a gritty 1–0 victory over the MoveSmart Mariners. Hollan was in complete control from the first pitch to the final out, allowing zero hits, walking just 1, and striking out 6 across 7 shutout innings. Efficient and composed, he needed only 84 pitches to carve through the Mariners lineup and took a perfect game into the 7th inning. The Jacks played stellar defense throughout the ball game. This playoff matchup featured great pitching on both sides as Movesmart’s Josh Blaum tossed a complete game while surrendering just 6 hits and allowing 1 Run (0 earned) and striking out 6. #psmltop30 #PeoriaSundayMorningLeague

2025 Peoria Sunday Morning League Season Moment #4 “Sanabria vs Reiman on Clutch Sports Media” 8/4/25 In a 12 Inning Peoria Sunday Morning League Playoff showdown, fans were treated to an absolute pitching clinic as Carlos Sanabria and Nolan Reiman put on two of the most dominant performances you’ll see in a postseason game. Sanabria was sensational for the Firehouse Pizza Expos, battling deep into the game with 10 shutout innings, allowing just 4 hits while striking out an eye-popping 18 batters. Time and again, he escaped traffic and kept the Titans off the scoreboard with swing-and-miss stuff when it mattered most. Not to be outdone, Nolan Reiman matched him pitch for pitch, and then some. Reiman went 9 scoreless innings for the Tin Lizard Titans, surrendering only 3 hits, and punching out 17 hitters in a dominant playoff effort that ultimately earned him the win. Between the two aces, the game featured a staggering 35 combined strikeouts, turning this playoff matchup into a memorable duel that will be talked about in PSML circles for a long time. #psmltop30 #PeoriaSundayMorningLeague

The Peoria Sunday Morning League mourns the passing of Peoria native and former New York Yankees pitcher Zack Monroe, who passed away at the age of 94. Before pitching on baseball’s biggest stage in the World Series with the New York Yankees, Monroe was a standout right here at home. From ages 19 to 21, he spent three seasons in the Peoria Sunday Morning League pitching for Hiram Walker & Son’s. Over those three seasons, Monroe logged 202.2 innings, recorded 95 strikeouts, posted a 3.20 career ERA, and impressive 17-8 Win Loss record. We were fortunate enough to see Zack Monroe in attendance this past summer at the Peoria Sunday Morning League Alumni Game where he was able to watch his grandson Chase Paskert compete in. From the Peoria Sunday Morning League to World Series Champion, Zack Monroe’s baseball journey is a powerful reminder of the rich history and talent that has come through this league. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who were touched by his life and legacy. Zack Monroe is an inductee of the Peoria Sunday Morning League Hall of Fame, Greater Peoria Sports Hall of Fame, and the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame. #ZackMonroe #PeoriaSundayMorningLeague

2025 Peoria Sunday Morning League Season Moment #5 “Tate Roley’s 2 Playoff Games” Tate Roley put together one of the most legendary two-game stretches the Peoria Sunday Morning League playoffs have seen, anchoring the Pour Bros Jacks with 2 huge playoff wins. In the opening playoff matchup against Brienzo’s Orioles, Roley set the tone by grinding through 6.1 innings, allowing just 3 runs (2 earned) while striking out 8. Giving Pour Bros the early momentum they needed to start off the 2025 PSML playoffs. The Jacks would go back to the tall left hander later that week. In the win-or-go-home elimination game vs the MoveSmart Mariners, Roley was nothing short of dominant, tossing a complete game and allowing only 2 hits over 7 innings. Navigating a tough Movesmart lineup, Roley would punch out 8 more hitters, and slammed the door on any Mariners rally attempt in a 6–3 playoff win. Across the two playoff starts, Roley went 2–0, logging 13.1 innings, surrendering just 5 earned runs, and striking out 16 hitters, while pitching both with grit and control when the Jacks needed him most. Two wins. One complete game. Total command of the moment that would send the Pour Bros Jacks back to Dozer Park for their 3rd consecutive year in a row. #psmltop30 #PeoriaSundayMorningLeague
