"Canada risks losing not only these students but also the credibility it has built as a destination for global scholarship.” These are not just delays. They are lost time, lost opportunities, and lives left in limbo. Faculty voices matter. SHARE: thestar.com/opinion/contri…

Today we had an inspiring session with our ENPATH program students on “Navigating Relationship Building in Canadian Academia!” We sincerely thank Dr. Sonya Fatah for sharing her expertise and practical tips on connecting with faculty and building professional relationships.

Our students cannot wait any longer. Their education and their lives are on hold. That’s why we’re asking you to take one simple but powerful step: make the call. Use this phone script to demand accountability and stand in solidarity with students. speakupforchange.ca/campaign/IRCCL…

This IWW, we celebrate Aya — a brilliant physics graduate from Gaza who ranked first in her university with an outstanding GPA of 97.1%. Aya carries Gaza with her wherever she goes. Her goal is to one day return and help rebuild schools. speakupforchange.ca/campaign/IRCCL…

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate Palestinian women like Nada. Nada was accepted into the Sustainable Systems Engineering program at the University of Calgary. Despite her achievements, Nada is still waiting for the opportunity to begin her studies.

Meera did everything right. Despite war, displacement, and constant electricity and internet outages, she completed her graduate application. Today, Meera has been accepted to the Industrial Engineering Master’s program at the University of Regina. speakupforchange.ca/campaign/IRCCL…

"These students are not asking for a shortcut; they are asking for an answer. In a country governed by the rule of law, that should not be too much to expect." Canada is putting Palestinian grad students in unfair immigration limbo 👇 cc @LenaMetlegeDiab @AnitaAnandMP

My op-ed in today's @globeandmail, decrying the approach (or more to the point, the lack thereof) that the Canadian government has taken with respect to processing visa applications for highly qualified Palestinian graduate students who have been admitted to university programs across the country. "... it is difficult to come up with any explanation for the double standards other than how it feels: racism. It has to be said, and it has to be addressed. On one side are applicants who receive clear outcomes; on the other are those whose files are allowed to languish until their opportunities simply expire. And time after time, those on that other side are Palestinians." Minister @LenaMetlegeDiab, this must change. theglobeandmail.com/opinion/articl…

Despite receiving admission letters, these students are stuck in limbo as immigration barriers prevent them from beginning their studies. With biometric centres inoperable, students are unable to complete this step in identity verification. speakupforchange.ca/campaign/IRCCL…
