@shornKOOMINS Other factors - daughter’s birthday as well today! I was out all day Sunday so just felt two days out on the piss was a bit much and didn’t want to be hanging today for it - I was at the Spurs game to win the league and Sunday for the trophy so I was happy with that!

Probably get some flak for this but as great as it was, until the incident anyway, I did think it was just too busy. Was notably and significantly busier than 2019. Much of the city, especially the Strand, was like inching out of a mosh pit to go to the bar. Just could not move.

@shornKOOMINS I remember the 2005 euro parade, and then shut off the lifts at James St and everyone had to walk down like 900 steps to get to the platform and the trains were rammed - in my 20s, no kids, no cares u don’t give a fuck but I couldn’t be arsed with that now

@shornKOOMINS 3/3 - even before the terrible incident, as amazing as it looked on tv, I was quite glad I was home, hungover as u could just tell it was going to be chaos! Then that disgraceful incident just multiplied it to scary levels

@shornKOOMINS I went the game Sunday, loved it but even then town before and after was mental - great atmosphere but just felt mental - hard to explain - bearing in mind I’m like a 15/20 minute Merseyrail train away, I went down to central station to get my train home about 8pm 1/2

Remember when celebrities used to drive around in cars with their names and tinpot sponsors emblazoned on the sides. I used to see Devon Malcolm and Herol 'Bomber' Graham driving around. I knew it was them cos their cars had their names plastered all over them 😭
