It's been 69 days since #Shakila_Ghasemi, a Bahá’í citizen, was arrested at her home on February 2, 2026. Shakila was handcuffed and transferred to an undisclosed location. She is being held by IRGC Intelligence. She's been denied legal counsel. No formal charges have been made. Her family is deeply concerned about her health and wellbeing. #StopBahaiPersecution #شکیلا_قاسمی

Authorities in Iran executed at least 1,639 people in 2025, the highest annual number since 1989, two rights groups said, warning Tehran could use capital punishment even more widely after protests in January and the war with Israel and the United States. The figure marked a 68% increase from the 975 executions recorded in 2024, according to a joint annual report by Norway-based Iran Human Rights and Paris-based Together Against the Death Penalty. If the Islamic Republic “survives the current crisis, there is a serious risk that executions will be used even more extensively as a tool of oppression and repression,” read the report. The report said 48 women were among those executed. The two groups said the sharp rise pointed to a broader use of the death penalty as a tool of intimidation. iranintl.com/en/202604132902

⏱️ It's now day 45 of #Iran's internet blackout, with international connectivity severed for over 1056 hours. Regime figures and whitelisted influencers post freely on social media while they silence a population of 90 million whom they claim to serve.

When Ghalibaf was head of the police, the 1999 Iranian student protests turned into one of the bloodiest crackdowns in modern Iranian history. With the entry of security forces and plainclothes agents into Kooye Daneshgah, student dormitories became scenes of open violence, students were brutally beaten, arrested, and some were killed. Years later, the release of an audio recording from a confidential meeting added a more shocking dimension: Ghalibaf speaks about his role in applying pressure that led to security forces entering the university, and refers to obtaining authorization to open fire inside the dormitories a narrative that frames the crackdown not as a rogue action, but as a deliberate decision made at high levels. #IranMassacre#NoDealWithMullah

Iran has sent a negotiating team to the Islamabad talks with the United States spanning an unusually broad political spectrum—suggesting a possibly calculated effort to pre-empt future hardline backlash while pursuing negotiations. iranintl.com/en/202604115814

As the US holds talks with the regime in Iran, dozens of Iranian protesters—including teenagers—are at risk of execution. At least 30 now face moharebeh (“enmity against God”) charges after the January 2026 uprising—following torture, forced confessions, and sham trials. At imminent risk: • Abolfazl Salehi Siavashani • Shahab Zohdi • Yaser Rajaifar • Melika Azizi (18) Over 50,000 Iranians were arrested during the protests. The regime’s chief justice is openly pushing to fast-track these cases—this is the so-called “new regime.” They’re counting on your silence. SPEAK UP.
