Our DSSO xlinked PPI benchmarking dataset (PXD042173) and Scout (github.com/diogobor/Scout) are finally published (nature.com/articles/s4159…)! Both Scout and the PPI dataset will grow. We and the whole XL community are working hard on refining XL search and FDR estimation.

Francesca Mattiroli, group leader, receives a Vidi grant from the Dutch Research Council (NWO). With this funding, she and her team will investigate how DNA and its packaging are copied during cell division. Their findings could in the future help in fighting diseases and aging.

These laureates are VERY deserving. But an important addendum—no model could be trained without 40 years of Helen Berman and others’ work at the PDB, and we would not be certain of AF’s success without 30 years of John Moult and others’ work on CASP. Hats off to them as well 🥂
