Who was the HARDEST HITTER in college football history? 👀

NEW: Ole Miss' Pete Golding on tampering accusations from Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney: "I’m not going to sit up here and say whatever we did or we didn’t do, was it right or was it wrong? But, you know, when you go through what we went through (with tampering), and what you’re seeing day-in and day-out, some things you feel like shouldn’t matter that they’re making a big deal about." They are in a strange spot because they are winning, but Busch isn’t producing and PCA only just started to for the first time since the first half last year. I think right now, I’d go: 1. Seiya Suzuki 2. Michael Busch 3. Nico Hoerner 4. Ian Happ 5. Moisés Ballesteros 6. Alex Bregman 7. Carson Kelly 8. Dansby Swanson 9. Pete Crow-Armstrong Might seem a bit off, but I think you need to view this from a 1-2-3 lens not from the start, but throughout the game, but keep in mind that if the three spot is batting with two outs and no one on, you are already in trouble that inning in general (this is exactly the reason why the three-hole sees far more plate appearances per game with two outs and no one on—and it is by far, I’ll share another tweet after this). In this case, you have these outstanding 1-2-3-(4)s to run up that are focusing on your best players: Seiya-Busch-Hoerner-(Happ) Busch-Hoerner-Happ-(Mo) Hoerner-Happ-Mo-(Breg) Dansby-PCA-Seiya-(Busch) PCA-Seiya-Busch-(Hoerner) Reset With this, you have a bonus strong 1-2-3-(4) of Happ-Mo-Breg-(Kelly) Baseball is so intuitive in so many ways, and yet, we still generally build lineups for the first inning only… then just play it by ear from there. Lineups are still being constructed as if the pitcher has to hit across baseball (fortunately, the Cubs are NOT doing this) and in most cases, your weakest hitter should be batting in the seven-hole IOT surround your boppers with the best opportunity throughout the entire game—not just the first inning. I will point out that the seven-hole is the only spot in the lineup that will NEVER show as “due up” with the 1, 2, 3, or 4 spots. Add to that, the six, and you have two spots in the lineup that will never show as “due up” with the 1-2-3 spots. The eight and nine spots should be guys who could just as easily bat one to two in a traditional lineup, and guys who probably would on a weaker team. I do think the goal should be that PCA keeps it going and moves into the three-spot, because he is the MOST ideal three-hole hitter given his skillset. No one on that team is more capable of turning nothing—a two out, no one on time up—into something. It isn’t a lineup, anymore… the universal DH has squashed that completely. It is cyclical—or at least it should be.

@joshmillerr_ @bradleyryder @theaceofspaeder If you have a competent lead off hitter and number two hater than this is not a problem. The lineup just sucks.

@OhioTate Any chance we get another after dark 99/99 challenge from wrigley?
