#ThrowbackThursday From aspiration to achievement through dedicated efforts, undaunted commitment. My bond with the people of Sonbhadra has deepened over the years. It began about eight years ago when, as a Rajya Sabha Member from Uttar Pradesh, I adopted Sonbhadra under the Aspirational Districts initiative. From the very beginning, the people welcomed me with extraordinary warmth and affection, making me feel like a member of their own family. Every visit to Sonbhadra has felt less like an official engagement and more like a homecoming. In fact, I will once again be travelling to the district tomorrow. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with its people and witnessing its continued progress. Over the past several years, the visionary leadership of PM @narendramodi Ji and the transformative policies implemented under his guidance have brought meaningful and lasting change to Sonbhadra. Focused investments in healthcare, education, sports, roads, rail connectivity, and community infrastructure, supported through the effective utilisation of MPLAD funds, have strengthened the district’s development journey. It is deeply satisfying to see the remarkable strides Sonbhadra has made across multiple development indicators. Once counted among the most backward districts in the country, Sonbhadra has emerged as a model of progress, consistently featuring among India’s top-performing Aspirational Districts in assessments conducted by NITI Aayog. The Aspirational Districts Programme, launched by PM Sh Modi Ji in January 2018, represents a pioneering approach to governance aimed at reducing disparities in development across districts and states. Its success has been recognised internationally, with UNDP India describing it as a model worthy of replication in other countries. My experience with Sonbhadra has reinforced a simple but powerful lesson: districts with immense potential often require only focused attention, sustained support, and access to additional resources to achieve transformative outcomes. Sonbhadra’s journey stands as a testament to what can be accomplished when effective governance, community participation, and development-focused interventions come together.

One thing I've noticed about the older generation… Most of them only go to a hospital when something feels seriously wrong. Meanwhile people my age are talking about health scores, blood markers, preventive health checks etc😅 A friend recently mentioned his Apollo Hospitals health check was very helpful and it got me thinking … maybe this shift is actually a good thing.

Adani Green Energy's renewable capacity hits 17,237.2 MW with 307.4 MW added at Khavda, Gujarat. The Khavda complex aims for 30,000 MW by 2029, making it a key part of India's clean energy push . From a financial perspective, battery storage capacity expansion costs around ₹1.5–1.7 crore per MWh. The industry typically generates an internal rate of return (IRR) of 14–16%, allowing projects to achieve break-even within six to seven years. Khavda is the perfect location. It’s a salty desert where nothing grows and noone lives. As for why Adani chose Khavda as the location for this mega renewable energy project, the region offers some of the best wind resources in the world and, after Ladakh, the second-best solar conditions in India, making it an ideal hub for large-scale renewable energy generation, battery storage, and clean energy infrastructure.
