In 2008 James Broadnax and his cousin Demarius Cummings killed two men in the parking lot of a recording studio in Garland, TX in a robbery that only netted $2. It was Broadnax's cold hearted, no remorse jailhouse interview that went viral. Broadnax was sentenced to death and is scheduled for execution tonight. His cousin Demarius Cummings was sentenced to double life with no parole. Rapper Fat Joe has come to Broadnax's defense and support of a new trial because he believes the jury using Broadnax's rap lyrics in trial was wrong.

Namibia 🇳🇦 has fully repaid its debt to the International Monetary Fund, bringing its outstanding obligations down to zero.
The country made the final repayment of $23,887,500, as confirmed in official IMF data up to March 2026. This marks a major milestone and a strong shift in Namibia’s external debt profile as part of its broader fiscal consolidation drive.
Namibia joins a small group of African nations that have successfully cleared their IMF balances, boosting its financial independence and international credit standing. This is a big win for fiscal discipline and economic sovereignty!
More details are expected from the Bank of Namibia and government statements.

Remembering Donnie Andrews, who would have turned 72 today. He was one of the inspirations for Omar on The Wire and in 2007 married Fran Boyd, (RIP) whose battle with addiction was chronicled in The Corner. Andrews life story is amazing and truly one of redemption. He was born April 29th, 1954 in Baltimore & passed away December 13th, 2012 in NYC. vice.com/en/article/bal…
