Zelda was found on the streets. No microchip but with a broken leg. She’s quite shy and wasn’t easy to catch. We got her leg operated on and she’s doing really well but still remains quite shy when on her own. She bonds quickly with other dogs and we think she’ll be fine in a home with others. At the moment she’s very bonded with Debbie who also has a plate in her clavicle that was broken. What a lovely pair they make 💕We know it’s unlikely Debbie and Zelda will get a home together but if Zelda could find a home with other dogs that would be great. Isn’t she beautiful? Zelda is just two years old ❤️💕 Plz share 🙏🏻❤️

Does this hunter hit his dogs? Volume up ⬆️ to make your own decision. At least Romeo is safe now after he was left with a broken hip. The hunters generally don’t want to pay vets bills for broken or injured dogs so they pass those to the protectoras (if the dogs are lucky enough to get out). This is one reason hunters don’t understand how high costs are for protectoras. They don’t spend thousands on their dogs to fix a hip. We do! Romeo at least now has a second chance! ❤️

Everyday Galgueros depend on protectoras to pick up the pieces of the hunting industry. Some are grateful & admit they would not give their dogs to other hunters whilst some don’t care if they are ripped apart in overcrowded shelters. We are getting calls from perreras that they are saturated and need help 😞 This weekend we hope to be in Toledo to help a perrera reduce their numbers even if it’s just a few. Banana here was dropped off at a shelter already struggling. No donation, no help, just dropped off. We were able to help in hope we can find him a lovely home. He’s around 3yrs old, sociable and great on a lead. He’s ready to rumble ♥️ Plz share 🙏🏻❤️

Let’s start the day with Snoopy and Woodstock! These two smallies are looking for a home ❤️ Approx 6mths old they are both incredibly sociable and sweet. They have matching heads but not matching legs. Snoopy only has 3 legs as we had to amputate after he was found on the streets with the bone sticking out. They can be separated. Infact when we have the right space we will be separating them. If you can adopt a 3 legged bodeguero or a 4 legged one.. we have both! Plz share 🙏🏻❤️

Can you ever get bored of Pancake and Waffles? Imagine being left with broken bones, surviving running up a road with those broken bones and still be happy, sociable and loving! They are simply incredible 🩷 We love them so much 💕 We’ve had a few enquirers for a home but still talking long term care ☺️

We thought Dubai was going to offer to do the washing up 🙈😂 He thought it was a drive thru and ordered a soya coconut milk chuppatino with extra sprinkles of extra toppings with no extra sugar. He’s so modern 🥰 Sadly we didn’t have it in stock so we gave him a worming tablet! Dubai is starting to do really well after a very rocky start ❤️

New arrivals after the many transports with dogs leaving. The first two are these lovely boys, Coyote and Farrucu 😍 Coyote is quite shy but Farrucu seems more sociable and confident 💕 Both will need homes .. please share ❤️🙏🏻

Harlequin is 5yrs old and one of our longest stayers now. He is desperate for a home! He’s grown a lot in confidence, he loves to play now and go out on walks. This November it will be 3yrs. We can’t let that happen. He’s adorable 😍 Please share ☺️

Yay what a day. Two went to lovely local homes and Twelve to Belgium. Here is how the Belgium transport looks getting them ready 😍🤗 Huge thanks to All4dogs for making so many dreams come true & for being so supportive 🥰

The two podencos that were left tied up on the streets are now Custard & Cream 😍 They are doing ok, a bit hesitant but we are not worried 🤗

Pancake & Waffles have seen the trauma vet but sadly it’s all too late to operate 😩 Little waffles with the broken leg has healed itself but as he had to limp for so long the other supporting leg has now struggled. Pancake ideally needs a prosthetic knee but the results now just might not be enough or could make it worse in comparison to now where she does limp a bit but copes. We are going to try Physio and pain management. The have really bonded, wouldn’t it be great if they got a home together? 🙏🏻❤️ Both are under a year old, little Waffles just around 5mths and Pancake around 10mths! Is there a special adopter out there? 🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️

Fraggle needs your attention and believe me if you’re in the gds centre he’ll get it from you 😅 He hates being in a kennel, he’s been locked up for so long (including previous protectoras) he’s had enough. He’s starting to bite the bars in an attempt to let us know it’s his turn to find a home. He loves being out on a walk and playing in the park here of course it’s the way it is with hundreds of dogs he has to wait his turn. Fraggle is 2yrs old and has never experienced what every dog should… can we make it happen for him? ❤️ Please share scruffy pants Fraggle and let’s get him a home ❤️❤️

Romancera is around 3yrs old and just the funniest cutest thing, don’t you agree? She’s looking for a home 😍.. come on… out of 1 to 10 how adorable is she?

These two podencos were tied up and left on the streets. Sadly we can not discuss the back story as it’s actually sad for the human involved also, and it doesn’t feel right to discuss it on social media, but we will of course give any adopter the information needed. These two adorable little pods need names 🙏🏻❤️ The one at the back is a boy and the more hesitant one at the front is a girl ♥️

Two new girls handed in by hunters to protectora Friends of Mazzaron, who then asked us if we had room. Well, luckily we have three leaving in a minute so these two were welcome 🥰 Meet Panadera and Gloria 😍 Which one has the beard ?
