Following a tip-off, our enforcement team has arrested 62 Nigerian nationals operating illegally in Adjumani (without work permits). The group, primarily found operating a church among other things, is now being processed for prosecution under Uganda’s immigration laws.

Some don’t have full documentation, so big corporates won’t touch them… but delivery apps? As long as the system works, they’re in. 3. These companies see them as reliable, they don’t clock in with attitude, they grind long hours and don’t disappear after payday unlike some South Africans😭 4. Let’s be honest… many locals see these jobs as "temporary" or "not worth it" , while someone else sees it as a full-time hustle to feed a family. Perspective is doing push-ups here. 5. The hustle culture difference is real, rain, cold, 10pm deliveries, township routes… they’re outside like it’s a World Cup final 😭 6. Network effect, once a few get in, they bring their brothers, cousins, WhatsApp groups, "come to JOZI just get a passport, there's no boarders"😭 and suddenly it’s a full community inside the app. At the end of the day… the apps don’t even care about nationality, they care about who shows up, delivers, and stays consistent. When i said the government is an enabler i was attacked, i guess it’s now full blown show off.
Freedom Day celebrates the end of a system that told people where they could and couldn't be based on who they were.
Using that day to tell a legal entrepreneur to 'go home' is the ultimate disrespect to the struggle.
I respect the country enough to invest in its future, I was there legally, paying taxes, and following the law to the letter.
