@TheNewsAgents @MuhanadSeloom @lewis_goodall If it doesn’t take much to shut the Strait, does this mean that they would need to have constant military protection of it forever? If Iran can rebuild so quickly after its nuclear programme was “obliterated” then surely it can easily do that with lower tech weapons.

@henrywinter @KCkevin_cityzen A ground can also be well past its best and be in need of major change. I haven’t been in over 10 years but it was falling behind even then.

@henrywinter This squad isn’t in anyway official dir the final one is it? Lots of time between now and end if season for injuries, loss of form and someone to pull up trees.

Danny Welbeck moves ahead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin as leading English goalscorer in the Premier League. Welbeck not in England squad. DCL in shootout with Dominic Solanke in friendly v Uruguay for a shot at a World Cup slot. #BHALIV

@HughWoozencroft He made his England debut 8 years ago. He has had 30 odd caps to show what he can do for England. The truth is none of the England managers have really fancied him because he is hasn’t really performed to the levels we have seen at club level. In that respect he is like Foden.

@autosport It was glaringly obvious that this wasn’t playing to his strengths in the first place. It’s also glaringly obvious that at least 1 of the drivers shouldn’t be in his seat as well.

@Declancarr96 To this point he hasn’t replicated his club form for England and he has played 30 odd times. I would take him as he can be a difference maker, but based on what he has produced for England so far I can understand the decision.

@Domiknowsball I doubt Seahawks fans particularly care if you remember a play or not. We do and we certainly remember the important winning bit.

Seahawk fans want us 49er fans to be so upset about them winning a ring in our stadium. Every other 31 organizations know that was the most Mickey Mouse ring in recent memory. I genuinely can’t remember a play from the Super Bowl, it was that irrelevant.

Notting Hill Car spotting. Lovely car, lovely colour but I do wonder if the owner gets fed up of being asked if it’s real or not

@anajones2530 @TomPelissero And also banking on thr fact the league will likely increase the Cap again next year and so that 27M really is 27M minus the cap increase

The 49ers did a simple restructure on Nick Bosa's contract, clearing $17.172 million in 2026 cap space. Bosa is still due $23.18 million this season. His 2027 cap number is now a whopping $54,866,753.

@henrywinter How much would relegation cost Spurs? I’ve seen the figure £200m mentioned. So the only way to get someone with a significant enough CV, profile and EPL experience is to go to pay a huge base sum and a huge bonus if Spurs stay up. For me, that would be Xabi Alonso.

Carriage for Tudor. Has to happen. Spurs wanted to give Igor Tudor four more games, starting with this one. He doesn’t deserve even one more game. He doesn’t actually deserve one more half. That half was humiliating. 4-1 down and should be down to 10 men. Spurs were bad under Thomas Frank. Tudor’s made them worse. Wrong selections, wrong tactics. Some sympathy for Antonin Kinsky; should never have started. Crazy decision by Tudor to pick him. And now he’s crushed him. Like his team, Tudor has no defence. He has to go. Now. But the problem runs far deeper than a coach patently out of his depth and urgently needing put out of his misery. Players have to take more responsibility - why is Micky van de Ven flying in recklessly like that? Spurs dragged down by a lack of leadership throughout the whole club: from dressing-room to board-room via those in charge of recruitment and those in the dug-out. Dismissing Tudor is an easy decision for the board to make. It's the obvious decision. The difficult decision is who should replace him? Fans want Mauricio Pochettino but he's otherwise engaged. For now. Robbie Keane? #THFC #ATLTOT

@henrywinter Gallagher's range in a Tudor 3-4-2-1 is the angle everyone's missing—he covers twelve yards vertically better than anyone in that squad. The pressing trigger is the signing, not the buzzwords. Eight days to install it before Arsenal.

Running, pressing, aggression. Plenty of buzzwords following Igor Tudor into Tottenham Hotspur. Not words you’d always associate with Spurs, although you would with new signing Conor Gallagher. Plenty of scrutiny of Tudor’s record at Juventus (12 wins in 25) and overall (335 games, 150 wins, 105 losses). Focus also on his swift impact after arrival at Udinese (2018) and Hellas Verona (2021). Spurs need jump-leads. Tudor can’t affect long injury list that hampered Thomas Frank. He can change a mood. He can focus players’ attention - they’re in a dogfight (and West Ham improving). Key is how Spurs players respond to a caretaker. He knows Bentancur, Dragusin, Kulusevski from his time as asst coach at Juventus. Knows Kolo Muani (on loan) from his time as coach of Juventus. Some players will simply be buoyed by Frank’s departure. Let’s hope all of them also accept their own responsibility in team’s travails. They face Arsenal next so they’d better be at it. Spurs need the fight Tudor embodied as a player at Hajduk Split, Juventus and Siena, as well as three tournaments with Croatia (55 caps, header v England at E2004. team-mate of Modric). Of course, it’s a risk by Spurs, all appointments are, but who else was out there as caretaker? Whatever doubts about elements of Tudor’s managerial record, Spurs fans will definitely be positive. Many will simply be relieved that Frank is no longer in the dug-out. Many will appreciate a more aggressive, attacking approach promised by Tudor. #THFC

@JHJCSports @BBCMOTD @BBCSport It was 100% the right thing to hook him when he did. He shouldn’t have started, thats on the manager. Starting him in an away match in CL against a really good team with no recent playing time was a recipe for disaster.

@BBCMOTD @BBCSport Sorry, but this is insane bollocks. Unless he was injured, he can have the half. He’s not a competition winner, he’s a pro keeper that you selected

@henrywinter It was a terrible appointment in the first place, whoever was responsible for that needs to go as well. In a relegation fight with a manager of no EPL experience made zero sense. Now 4 losses, even lower confidence ,if possible and a GK humiliated that no one will now buy.

@SpursOfficial Playing an inexperienced keeper with limited minutes all season in an away game in CL against quality opposition may be the stupidest decision I can recall in all my days watching football. Saying that, whoever decided to appoint a manager with no PL experience might be close.
