Looking back… Pacino had to have an Oscar (considering his stellar work), so it was going to have to be Scent of a Woman. In retrospect, Denzel Washington should have won in 1993 for his role in Malcolm X. I think it’s his best performance of many great roles.

THE BLACK HOLE (1979) kickstarted Disney's 'Dark Phase' with beautiful spaceships, cool robots, Anthony Perkins getting shredded, and an existential nightmare of an ending in which the good guys go to heaven and the bad guys go to hell. I adore it.

@CinemaTweets1 Agreed. It’s a masterly film. People still watch Fargo all the time, I know I do whenever it pops up on cable, etc.. No one just clicks over to the English Patient for a rewatch.

It pains me that Fargo lost the #Oscar for Best Picture to The English Patient. This film’s been front-of-mind all week given its 30th anniversary just hit, but man, the Coen Brothers should have two Best Pictures under their belt. This movie is 98 minutes of perfection.
