Glad to present today @taxreformer event at U.S. Capitol on my recent research published by @tholos. Here’s the gist: America’s biotech leadership is slipping as China closes the gap—on track to surpass the U.S. in clinical trial share by 2027, already graduating 50% more advanced STEM grads annually, and gaining ground in novel drug output and R&D investment. Most Favored Nation (MFN) drug pricing and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) mandates could cut new drug development in half and push private investment abroad. To reverse course, policymakers must reject government price-setting, expand no-limit Health Savings Accounts, decentralize FDA approval, and restore market competition so that the next generation of cures is made in America—not managed by Washington or handed to Beijing.
