What a fun way to celebrate two of our PTA BINGO winners with a Korner Store luncheon with the Dean & Principal! Our 2 winners invited friends to join us & they happily shared their pizza! 🍕 💛Having lunch with this crew was a highlight of my day. 💫🌟 We ❤️ Our PTA! #WeAreRSU18

We had the BEST morning at WES celebrating this year’s top 2 books in our Nonficton March Madness Tourney. “Wat Takes His Shot” by Cheryl Kim was crowned this year’s champion. Our assembly kicked off with a knockout battle between students, staff & MHS bball players. #WeAreRSU18

We were so grateful to see so many of our parents & grandparents in attendance at our Math Mornings this week. We hope you had a blast playing treasure hunt! Thank you to our amazing Title 1 staff for hosting this fun family event for our whole school community. #WeAreRSU18

Another fun afternoon of Crazy 8’s Math Club! We had fun discussions about order of operations &probability, made a human bar graph and played Radical BINGO! BINGO with a twist where teams battled it out choosing operations to complete a row of 5 to get BINGO!🎲📊 🌟#WESProud18

Our students had the pleasure of meeting Shihan, Head Karate Instructor at Club Naha Karate at the AYC, & enjoyed seeing demonstrations by his students.Students had opportunities to participate in activities led by Shihan. The spring session at the AYC runs 4/28-6/14. #WeAreRSU18

We were able to offer a ride to school in a fire truck and police cruiser as special prizes for BINGO last week thanks to our amazing Oakland Fire Dept. & Police Dept. 🚒💙🚔What a memorable morning for these two students today. Thankful for our supportive community! #WeAreRSU18

The WES student council has been busy preparing special welcome gifts for our Atwood 2nd graders’ step up day at WES and have also planted lots of flowers for a special community treat. Spreading kindness like confetti throughout our community. ☀️#WeAreRSU18

WES 3rd/4th graders had a blast at their first day of Crazy 8s Math Club after school on Monday. The focus was Glow Stick Geometry. Students enjoyed creating 3D glowing shapes. We are excited to share that we had 34 students interested so we were able to have 2 clubs! #WeAreRSU18

I love it when our spectacular student council joins me in the morning to greet our students and staff. They brighten the morning for our families, students and staff during morning drop off. I know they will continue to spread sunshine throughout our school. ☀️#WeAreRSU18

Thank you to our amazing WES/ATW PTA for providing our students an opportunity to visit the Waterville Opera House to see Once Upon a Time: Cinderella and Jack & the Beanstalk. Our students & staff had the best time and loved the performance. #WeAreRSU18

Ms. Desmarais & Mr. Polley team taught a lesson that enhanced their students’ understanding of solutions and mixtures by creating lava lamps. Students did a nice job explained their observations & why things happened. An awesome hands on activity to solidify concepts. #WeAreRSU18

Williams Elementary gave the Messalonskee Boys Basketball Team a start to their day the WES community hopes they will remember forever! We are so proud of their accomplishments and wish them all the best in the State Championship tonight!! Let’s GOOOOO! 🏀🦅🎉 ❤️

The Williams gym was electric as our staff/students gave the Messo Boys Bball team a wonderful WES send off for tonight’s State Championship game. From minute to win it challenges to Thuderstruck with rhythm sticks-fun was had by all. We wish them all the best! #WeAreRSU18 ❤️🏀🦅

The Williams gym was electric & Mr. Mac’s energy & dance moves were off the charts as he announced the 16 nonfiction titles for our 10th annual Nonfiction March Madness Tournament. 📚❤️🏀📚So excited to see who our students crown as the 2025 champion! #WESproud18 #WeAreRSU18

What a beautiful day 🌞for our Principal’s 100 Club reward! We had a fabulous time sledding & after sledding we enjoyed warming up with hot chocolates topped with lots of marshmallows. Congrats to this wonderful group of kiddos. Sun, snow & smiles -a perfect morning!🩵#WeAreRSU18
