The Modi Govt is proposing to bulldoze a Bill to increase the size of the Lok Sabha by 50%. The number of seats allocated to each state is also proposed to be increased by 50%.
The argument that a 50% increase in seats across-the-board is equitable is deceptive. Proportions may not change for the present but there are deeper implications that cannot be wished away.
Any increase in the gap in the existing strengths of different states in the Lok Sabha will place South Indian states at a disadvantage. For instance, currently Uttar Pradesh has 80 seats and Tamil Nadu has 39. With the proposed Bill, UP’s strength will zoom to 120 while Tamil Nadu will crawl up to at best 59. Similarly, Kerala will increase from 20 Lok Sabha seats to 30 seats, while Bihar will move from 40 to 60 seats. Overall, the southern states will gain 66 seats while the northern states will gain 200 seats.
Mr. Modi is unilaterally preparing a law which will disadvantage smaller states in the South, Northeast, and West. The Chief Minister of Telangana has already raised an alarm. Others may very well follow as this proposal becomes officially public.

India has long claimed a distinctive space in global affairs—not as an appendage to power, but as a voice shaped by its own civilisational experience and its history of speaking for sovereignty, restraint, and balance. That voice mattered because it was consistent, even when inconvenient. Strategic autonomy cannot mean adjusting our language to the hierarchy of power. Restraint has its place. Calibration is necessary. But when fundamental questions arise—about sovereignty, about the limits of force, about the protection of civilians—India cannot afford to be silent. A moral compass is not an ornament of foreign policy. It is its direction. Without it, realism drifts into accommodation, and autonomy into ambiguity. This war has damaged India’s interests in almost every practical sense. It has raised costs, narrowed diplomatic room, stressed shipping, complicated Chabahar, and injected fresh instability into a region vital to India’s economy and external strategy. Even if New Delhi can cushion the blow, it cannot plausibly claim that the blow itself serves India. The deeper question is whether India is willing to say so with sufficient clarity.

Fake currency was a serious issue and it is always a serious issue for any nation as it can strike at the very foundations of faith in the financial system. However some things have changed since demonetization. Various forensic reports have suggested the pre demonetisation fakes were "functionally" fake whereas fakes now are "visually" fake and substantially caught by counting machines. (To be fair counting machines have upgraded too). There is no news of Pakistan being able to copy our new notes "functionally".
Your political opinion can vary, but the fact is even Manmohan Singh government took fake currency notes very seriously. They called it terrorism!
We are presenting some of UPA actions against fake notes (that arguably failed) so you can decide if the issue was small or big and not let some random influencer decide it for you.

- Recently released webseries Chiraiya claims that 82% Indian women face sexual abuse by their husbands.
- Maybe makers of Chiraiya just assumed that 82% of women can deny sex to their husbands, so it must mean that 82% of husbands are sexually abusing their wives.
- Web series like these are usually aimed at destroying the family structure in India. And I am not surprised that this vahiyaat propapganda against men is getting good reviews by critics.
- Just imagine the impact of these fake facts presented as truth on the minds of teenage girls. They will probably start hating the concept of marriage even before getting old enough to marry.

Just see the level of toxicity in this Indian Muslim family where the wife Yasmeen Khan ran a beauty parlour where she invited Hindu girls for free beauty parlor courses. And when these girls came she used to spike their drinks. When they used to became unconscious, she used to call her husband Mohammed Sharif Khan who used to r@pe them. The wife meanwhile used to guard the reception while his husband r@ped the Hindu girls & video recorded his act to blackmail Hindu girls to have s€x with more Muslims.
When police asked the wife why she offered young Hindu girls to her husband for r@ping them, she said that they will get Jannat as she is helping r@ping kafir girls who deserved to be r@ped by Muslims. General William Westmoreland, the American commander in Vietnam, said that Asians do not value human life the way Westerners do.
He said this to explain why Vietnamese soldiers kept fighting despite losses that would have broken Western armies.
He did not say: perhaps they are fighting for something worth dying for.
He did not say: perhaps our intelligence about their will to fight was wrong.
He did not say: perhaps we have fundamentally misunderstood this enemy.
He said: they don't value life.
This is what happens when an army built on the premise of its own civilizational superiority meets a people who simply refuse to accept that premise.
The army cannot update its model.
It cannot say "we were wrong about who these people are."
So it invents a theory where the enemy's resistance is not a sign of strength but a sign of deficiency.
They keep fighting because life is cheap to them.
Not because their cause is just.
Not because they are brave.
Because they are less than us.
Westmoreland ran the war for years on this theory.
He lost.
The Vietnamese people, who apparently did not value life, built a country that is alive and growing and free.
Westmoreland died in 2005.
The people he could not understand are still here.
So is the theory.
