2021 has been a very exciting one for Project: LEARN. We continue to help many students in the areas of ABE, ESL, ASVAB, HSE. We thank you for your continued support. Please see the attached letter for more information. Happy holidays!

BLACK FRIDAY SALE: “Black Friday” is November 26th. Snag a free wrapped hardcover book with every purchase at PL's Bookshelf stores (while supplies last)! Our art and coffee table books are also on sale for $2.00.

MatchWits RETURNS on SEPT.16th, 2021 from 6-9:00 PM! Location details are on the sign-up form (attached). Teams of up to 8 players enjoy a delicious meal and a fantastic night of trivia. Proceeds go towards our adult literacy tutoring operations! REGISTRATION IS DUE AUG. 31st!

Thanks to @AkronCF for gifting PL two $2,000 grants! One grant, from the Medina County Community Fund, is for distance learning and student supplies. The other, from the Medina County Women's Endowment Fund, is for ESL and student supplies. Thanks so much to both grant funders!

PL Executive Director Angie Braidich and BookShelf Stores Manager Diane Shreve attended the Wadsworth Area of Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit Resource day today. PL was delighted to attend this event. Thanks to the Wadsworth area Chamber of Commerce for putting this on!

Our student, Holly Jervis, received her HS Diploma yesterday @mcjvs. We’d like to congratulate Holly for her hard work and talent, especially considering she did all of this during the pandemic. Thanks @mcjvs and Medina SeniorNet, who assisted us through this. Congrats Holly!

Project Learn of Medina County has been awarded an Aspire Grant from the Ohio Dept. of Higher Education. This Aspire Grant, allocated for adult learning, is a rolling grant for three years. We are very excited to share this news and are looking forward to our new collaboration

PL volunteers and friends had a great time participating in Main Street Medina's Kids Day of Safety & Play on June 5th. We had an exceptional day in sales, & we loved seeing youngsters so excited about books. In a similar vein, we need volunteers! Message if you'd be interested
