@StILLdenise @yesthatteacher Thank you for suggesting this. By the time students are in middle & high school, they are either learning or able to be accountable for themselves. Teachers, coaches, & administrators help guide & hold them to that. Athletes pranking or with same answers? Talk w/ coach first.

@yesthatteacher I reach out to coaches all the time with issues. I teach middle school-we stop trying to micro manage the kids and put it back on the kid to fix. Coaches are part of the mentoring. If it’s major, of course I call the parent. But when parents berate me I call them less.

A parent just called to scream at me because I reached out to her child’s coach instead of her. So I am kind of numb and shutting down. I was barely hanging on then this woman called my classroom to interrupt a different class and scream at me.
