MAJAMAA, there are 18 innocent comrades from Karatina, Nyeri County who have been facing fabricated charges following the July 2024 protests. They have been appearing in court since 2024 for mentioning and more mentioning dates. On the 13th of March 2026, the prosecution requested for two more weeks to review the case on whether to continue with the case or not and on 26th March 2026, the prosecution decided that they will continue with the case and a new hearing date was set to be on the 4th of June 2026. The 18 comrades are kindly calling for our solidarity and humbly requesting that we stand with them on the 4th of June 2026. #FreeOurComrades #RutoMustGoNow

The late John Garang as Headmaster of Gatunga’ng’a Senior Secondary School in Nyeri 1965. Garang first arrived in Kenya in 1963, but was locked up at Kamiti Maximum Prison. While there he met KANU politician cum trade unionist, Arthur Ochwada, who was also serving his prison term for embezzlement of KANU funds. Ochwada, however, blamed Mboya for orchestrating his predicaments after they disagreed. Nevertheless Garang narrated his situation to Ochwada, who fortunately enough was about to be released. Upon his release, Ochwada highlighted Garang's plight to Minister for Home Affairs Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, who ordered the release of Garang. He left for Uganda where he remained as a refugee , before making his way back to Kenya to work as a teacher after the country became a republic. From Kenya he went to the USA for further studies then back to Sudan to work in the military. ~ Levin

When my father was working in Mombasa I saw a letter a white woman called Audrey Whitby had sent him . Tigoni police station, you are holding a young lady who is a rape victim! You have colluded with her perpetrator to deny her justice! Her young son is outside your police station in the cold!
