Looks like The Astoria has now closed its doors. That’s 4 bars in #urmston town centre closed in as many months. Does anyone have a plan to stop it becoming a ghost town? Can anyone think of a suburb in Greater #Manchester where property prices are so high but bars are so few?

There’s enough local residents who care about the town to get something off the ground with the right people in charge. I believe something similar made a real impact in Sale

@FrankiCookney She’s 9. It definitely gets tricker as they get older. Also I think brands bizarrely shape kids clothes based on gender - girls clothing tends to be tighter fitting. It’s a minefield to get loose, practical, comfortable clothes for my daughter that doesn’t have ‘be kind’ slogans.

@FrankiCookney I buy through Vinted for myself but it doesn’t work to buy for my daughter this way because her sizing is unpredictable for the brands. You can’t go off age as the body shapes are so different. I know kids wearing clothes -3 years or + 3 years for their age because of body shape.
