South Africa 🇿🇦 will provide about 30 million rand/maloti (around $1.6 million ) in humanitarian support to Lesotho 🇱🇸. President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the funding from the African Renaissance Fund. It will support HIV and tuberculosis programmes in Lesotho as global aid declines. The support also strengthens cooperation between the two countries in health, water, and infrastructure development.

South Africa is set to record its largest maize harvest in history with 16.8 million tonnes.
