Ok let's talk about @deepseek_ai - this is a classic troll on the USA and 100% TikTok retribution. The bottom line is DeepSeek is a clone of Llama from @Meta which is OpenSource and installable on anything from a massive server farm to a laptop. It barely works (couldn't register today) and yes you can spend little or no money on building an LLM when everyone else has done the heavy lifting. What's extra sad is the US media ran with the story with little or no understanding of what #AI actually is. DeepSeek (aka DeepSneak) is to Llama as the Jetour Traveler is to the Range Rover Defender.
