I meet this girl at a friend’s birthday in March. Light skin, soft voice, Mass Comm student. We exchanged numbers and we started texting. The first week was sweet. She asked questions. Remembered stuff I said. We were vibing. The pattern started in the second week. I’d text, she’d reply 8 hours later and say she was busy. But her status was active posting, laughing, on call. I told myself, “Don’t be that guy. People get busy.” The third week was the final straw. I asked, if she was freen on Saturday Let’s grab ice cream. She read it. No reply. Sunday evening she posted a picture: out with her girls, ice cream in hand and captioned it “Sunday well spent. I didn’t double-text. Didn’t ask why. I just deleted our chat. Unfollowed. Moved on.
