Le prix de la PS6 pourrait bien dépasser les 1000$. La flambée des prix des composants et l'incertitude sur les douanes américaines rendent les prévisions difficiles. Sony pourrait fixer un prix volontairement élevé, quitte à proposer des réductions une fois le marché stabilisé selon plusieurs experts. Une console à PS6 est tout à fait envisageable selon le Dr Serkan Toto (PDG du cabinet de conseil Kantan Games) et le professeur Joost van Dreunen.
