Ngl Imu's design is good but it reminds me of any other shonen final villain including his personality him being the king of the world and all... it has already been done many times.
Blackbeard is so unique to a series like one piece in that matter.

Next time someone says something like “it’s a deconstruction of the genre” or “it’s a critique on the medium”
Just ask them what is being deconstructed or critiqued and how is it doing that. What is being asked? You’ll see quickly how empty those words are to them

Arab/Islamic colonization is NOT better than european/christian colonization what the fuck are we and why are we even scaling colonization??????? Both erased cultures and languages and arab colonization literally erased the ethnic identity of north African people to make it worse

At the top end I expect STEM and humanities to be about equal cognitively. It's just that STEM has a longer "runway" that's conceptually-easy, coursework-heavy, so to speak. Takes years to learn calculus, physics, chemistry, etc., but it doesn't really require *thinking* (1/4)

the brave motif, the rain, building bridges. rejecting tradition and immutability, not adhering to a single extremist side, being "pure" but embracing the "darkness" in her, the sun motif w the "black" shadow. masaki functions as a "conceptual character" so well.
