本日、ホワイトハウスを訪れ、トランプ大統領との日米首脳会談を行いました。 緊迫した状況が続くイラン情勢については、事態を一刻も早く沈静化させ、ホルムズ海峡における航行の安全、エネルギーの安定供給を確保することの重要性を確認しました。 これは、我が国の国益を守る観点からも重要です。 トランプ大統領には、こうした考えを伝え、これらを実現していくために、しっかりと意思疎通を続けていくことを確認しました。 世界のエネルギー市場を落ち着かせるような取組も提案しました。 米国における原油の生産拡大や調達、SMRにおける協力、さらには南鳥島周辺海域におけるレアアース泥の開発に関する協力について合意しました。 これは、我が国の資源・エネルギー安全保障に資するものです。 また、中国、北朝鮮などについても意見交換を行いました。 とりわけ、北朝鮮の拉致問題については、私自身の決意も伝え、トランプ大統領からは全面的な協力への約束をいただきました。 今回の会談を通じて、安全保障、経済安全保障を含む経済など幅広い分野において、日米同盟の「質」をさらに高める多くの具体的な協力を確認できたことは、大きな成果だったと思います。 また、トランプ大統領と一緒に「自由で開かれたインド太平洋（FOIP）」を力強く推進していくことも、確認しました。 今後も、トランプ大統領と緊密にやり取りを続け、日米同盟の更なる高みを目指していきます。

In a time with no microphones, no speakers, no stadium sound systems, and no translators, how would one voice realistically reach that many people spread across a large area? Human voices have natural limits. Even in ideal conditions, a person can only project their voice so far before it fades. So when we hear claims like this, it’s reasonable to pause and ask questions. Were the numbers symbolic? Was the crowd arranged differently? Or were the stories passed down in ways that emphasized the message more than the logistics? Questioning and thinking critically about historical accounts isn’t disrespect it’s part of seeking understanding. Faith and history have always been discussed, examined, and interpreted. Curiosity is not doubt; it’s the beginning of deeper knowledge. Agree or disagree?
