At the direction of the Trump administration, ICE is inflicting danger, violence, and division in our neighborhoods under the guise of law and order. When these federal agents operate with impunity, the consequences are fatal. Stop the tyranny. End the killings. Abolish ICE.

Patients and providers in PA have faced harassment and violence for decades simply for accessing reproductive care. With FACE Act violators pardoned, intimidation is being emboldened. I’m calling for a state-level FACE Act to protect patients, providers, and public safety.

Neighbors deserve safety and transparency. I’m working on short-term rental legislation to create countywide registries, require clear accountability, and give communities real tools to address problem properties. Housing policy is public safety policy. wesa.fm/politics-gover…

My grandma lost her fight with dementia, but her memory fuels my fight for awareness. No family should face this alone. Grateful for this legislation💜

EXCITING UPDATE: The bipartisan #ASAPAct has been introduced in the House. 🎆 We’re proud to support this transformative bill, which would create a pathway for Medicare coverage of FDA-approved dementia blood tests, accelerating access and increasing early detection. Learn more: bit.ly/4i6UR5Q.

Standing in solidarity with the @pghnewsguild workers as they head back into the Post-Gazette newsroom after 3 years on strike. Their commitment to fair working conditions and quality local journalism never wavered. Their perseverance is proof that when we fight, we win.
Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh 🗞@PGHGuild

With our strike ending today, we are welcoming folks to speak to the @pittsburghPG in addition to sharing PG articles as they like. We are NOT asking folks to re-subscribe *just* yet as we would like to do that as a big wave of supporters. We will be loud about that, and soon.

.@RepDeluzio is a patriot who serves with integrity and puts our communities first. If Republicans are serious about confronting the rhetoric that fuels political violence, they might want to start with their president.

Pennsylvania passed a new state budget, delivering real investments for our communities. It strengthens public schools, supports child & senior care workers, and grows a resilient economy. Budgets require compromise, but working together means real progress for Pennsylvania.

The federal shutdown is hurting our neighbors. Starting Nov. 1, more than 2 million Pennsylvanians could lose access to SNAP benefits, threatening food security for families and seniors. This isn’t politics, it’s people’s lives. My office is here to help.

PA’s housing crisis demands action—aging infrastructure, rising costs, and too few affordable options. That’s why I helped launch the first-ever bipartisan Housing Caucus to advance commonsense solutions for families across the Commonwealth.

House Dems passed real transit funding—sustainable, recurring, no new taxes, and $600M for roads/bridges. Senate Rs blocked it. Thanks to Gov. Shapiro & PennDOT, PRT got a $106.7M stopgap to avoid cuts & fare hikes, but without long-term funding, riders stay at risk.

🧵(4/4) For riders across Allegheny County, transit isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline. We’ve bought some time. Now we need to finish the job.

🧵(3/4) But let’s be clear: this is a stopgap, not a solution. Shifting capital dollars to cover operating expenses keeps buses on the road today but delays the maintenance and upgrades that ensure reliability tomorrow.

🧵(1/4) I’m relieved that Pittsburgh Regional Transit will avoid devastating service cuts and fare hikes in the near term. No one should lose their bus to work, a ride to school, or a connection to medical care because of a budget impasse.

Today we remember the lives lost on 9/11 and honor the first responders, firefighters, and service members who ran toward danger to keep us safe. Too many still face broken systems when they need care. We must do better—for our first responders, and for one another.
