Our seniors built this country. They deserve to be protected by the laws of this country, not silenced by corporate fine print. Corporations should not be able to force senior employees into secret arbitration when they've been discriminated against because of their age. Right now, millions of American workers are forced to sign arbitration agreements before a dispute ever arises. When age discrimination happens, those agreements are used to silence them and protect corporations. We introduced the Protecting Older Americans Act to make those agreements unenforceable in age discrimination cases. No more forcing seniors out of the courtroom before the process even starts.

Land of the free because of the brave.

Freedom is not free. Today we pause to remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. The ones who never came home. The ones who gave everything so we could have everything. May we never take for granted the price paid for our freedom. God bless our fallen soldiers. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, I’m thinking of my dad. He gave 28 years to this country. Distinguished Service Cross. Silver Star. Purple Heart. Multiple Bronze Stars for valor in Vietnam. The most decorated graduate The Citadel ever produced. A warrior. A leader. But most of all, my hero. Not a day goes by where he hasn’t been on my mind. Rest in peace, Dad. And to all who gave everything for this country. 🇺🇸

The SPLC has built an empire claiming to fight hate. Now they’re accused of funneling $3 million into groups tied to the KKK, Neo-Nazis, and white supremacists. All while labeling TPUSA and Moms for Liberty as “hate groups.” Because of the hatred they push, our country has never been more divided. They need to be held accountable.

My father remains on my heart each day. He devoted 28 years to the United States Army, served three combat tours, and earned every commendation save the Medal of Honor. On this eve of Memorial Day, to the men and women who made it home, and especially to those who laid down their lives: we salute your sacrifice. Your legacy endures.

The VA spends nearly $1 BILLION a year on software with no tracking system. Our veterans deserve the best care this country can offer. We introduced the Veterans Affairs Management and Oversight of Software Assets (VAMOSA) Act to fix it. Under our bill, the VA must maintain a complete inventory of every software asset, eliminate duplication, adopt cost-effective licensing, train employees, and report savings directly to Congress every single year. Our veterans gave everything. The least we can do is make sure every single dollar meant to serve them actually does.

Our constitutional amendment ensures those making decisions for our country are loyal to America and America only. As it should be. It’s common sense. America FIRST.

America should be run by American patriots. We've seen time and time again lawmakers who were not born in the United States prove their priorities are not America first. We proposed a constitutional amendment to fix this.

We introduced the Protect American Fisheries Act to strengthen protections for U.S. fisheries and coastal communities against foreign interference and illegal fishing. South Carolina's fishing industry is the backbone of our coastal economy and our way of life. For far too long, foreign actors have cheated the system with illegal fishing and forced labor. This bill finally brings real accountability. We will ALWAYS go to bat for our South Carolina shrimpers and fishermen.
