Women in Politics: Breaking Down the Barriers to Achieve True Representation" by Mary Chung Hayashi is #MediaWeLike! 📚 The book shares the inspiring stories and insights of trailblazing women in politics and emphasizes the importance of representation in leadership.

Meet Grace, a member of our Youth Advisory Council! Grace is a student in Toronto. She has published over 30 poetry and prose pieces in various magazines and anthologies. Grace believes in the power of storytelling to represent humanity in complex and empowering ways.

Over the weekend, we hosted our 7th annual Flip The Script benefit. It was moving to see so many people come together to honor women of courage. We were especially grateful to the Youth Advisory Council members who joined us for a powerful conversation about finding their voice.

The American Women Quarters Program is a four-year iniative celebrating the accomplishments of trailblazing women. The final honorees include Vera Rubin, Ida B. Wells, Juliette Gordon Low, Stacey Park Milbern, and Althea Gibson.

#OnThisDay in 1960, Ruby Bridges, Leona Tate, Tessie Prevost, and Gail Etienne desegregated the public school system in New Orleans. While Bridges enrolled at William Frantz Elementary School, Tate, Prevost, and Etienne enrolled at McDonogh 19 Elementary School.

Over 2 million women have served in the U.S. Military. Their contributions have also paved the way for future generations of women service members. Today, on #VeteransDay, we are honoring them and all those who have served and sacrificed for this country.
