Some weekend campaign finance news: Chevron donated $500,000 to support Proposition 131, which would overhaul the state's elections. Kent Thiry, the Denver millionaire driving the measure, also donated another $1 million in recent days, taking his Prop 131 total to $2.43 million.

Whether it’s Elon Musk pushing the limits if not busting through campaign finance laws, or funding astroturf ballot measures, millionaires + special interests are working to transform elections to benefit their bottom line, confuse voters + give dark money more power. NO on 131.
