Liverpool were supposed to use last season's defeat to PSG to learn where they could improve and close the gap over the summer. Instead, they completely ripped up their squad and have ended up as a far worse team. Pretty fortunate to only lose 2-0 tonight.

I personally think it is time Liverpool looked for a new manager but I also respect what Arne Slot has achieved. Personal attacks on the man as an individual is an absolute disgrace and goes against everything YNWA stands for. Yes, he has made decisions I don't agree with and at times they make me angry but so called Liverpool fans having a go at the man as a person is absolutely out of order. I think it is time he now moves on because he cannot get the best out of the team and I don't think he can regain that belief from his players. They look disinterested and lacklustre, which is also a sad indictment on the players also. But respect what Arne Slot has achieved, wish him well (if you do want him to move on) but be respectful. That's my view anyways.

@EssexLFC1 @YNWAANDY28 Totally agree, when we lost in the past it was never because we were out fought. Jurgen's teams always entertaining even if they weren't successful. Even the season after the title win when we had injuries galore we fought all the way!

@Dan23_92 I'd argue that Vvd has been as bad as anyone else this season. So many of our goals have come through him. I know its his style but the casual approach that used to be his style at his peak has now become a hindrance and doesn't set a good tone for the rest of the team.

Bigger problem is apart from Szoboszlai, who has been shunted everywhere and maybe Van Dijk for some of the season lesserly, none of title winning squad have performed. Part of that will be individual quality but there’s too many not to be coaching, tactical and fitness issues.

@JamieIrishRed I agree, posting pics flying around in private jets and driving a rolls when you're only a squad player isn't a good look at all. Stay humble and work hard while we're going through a shit stage can't be that hard. Proper helmet!

I think this one image sums up the disconnect between the fans and the players at the moment. What a difference a year makes in that regard. They’re all millionaires and just seem totally disconnected from reality these days. The away fans especially, invest so much time and money into following the club. They’ll stay until the end and give as much support as they can - but if they see a manager and team who look like they can’t be arsed then you’ll lose their support. Liverpool fans don’t typically make banners and chant for their own manager being sacked, but leaving early and chanting for another manager is as close as you’re going to get. The tongue in cheek “Hodgson for England” chant was similar to what happened at the Etihad with the Alonso chant. The manager has slowly lost the fans, we all hoped he would turn it around but there is just no sign of it happening, surely the owners see that? I just don’t understand what Szoboszlai was trying to achieve too. He could see there was hardly any left, the ones that are left, are simply not going to applaud that capitulation. Time for change, before the rot truly sets in and we go back to winning the odd cup.

Now age is against him he needs to work harder but isn't capable. When your leader isn't working hard enough the the rest of the team isnt either!

@redbhoyburn But why aren't they. Klopp built it into the team. We've seen Virgil run through walls as have others. Wirtz and Frimpong were very instrumental to Leverkusen going unbeaten in the league. You don't do that without fight. A large chunk of this team know how to fight

There's a reason some of us loved Darwin, despite his misgivings he would fight tooth and nail just to win a throw in, I don't see that in this side. There's a reason we used to sing that we dream of a team of Carraghers, we see ourselves in them, they play how we would.
