As we pause to reflect, we remember the unwavering bravery of every officer who responded that day, our public safety partners who stood by us and the community that came together to support CMPD and our law enforcement partners like never before. But most importantly, today and every day, we honor the fallen heroes: CMPD Officer Joshua Eyer, Deputy U.S. Marshal Thomas Weeks and N.C. Department of Adult Correction Investigators William Elliott and Samuel Poloche. Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
