@olive_liz Agreed it can cut both ways. Not to mention the added challenges of a dual physician household with or without a long-distance component! Just like our patients, every family situation has unique needs. Implementing policies to solve the common scenarios is a great start though.

Important discussion on parenthood and family planning during residency. My main criticism — the emotional struggle of parents is not female specific. Male partners of female surgical residents feel the emotional burden of absent partners too. #genderbias

@CaseySeidemanMD That's it. You can do it all online with freefillableforms.com that can search any form you need, add it to your submission, and does basic math for you. Can e-file through the site at no cost. Software and CPAs are convenient, but it's nice to know how the sausage is made!

@shanchukMD @eric_ghiraldi Are you counting BMR during that time? I would think you'd lose more water weight from lead-sweat than calories burned from thumb work, wrist extension/flexion, and plantarflexion for the laser.

Just learned that @KHS_Urology residents use the Color of Wine Chart to help each other describe urine color 😂 Motion to make this standardized across all programs

Nooo! I was got similar (unsolicited) advice as MS3. I was also told not to apply into #urology because there are “no jobs for female Urologists”. 3/4 Uro interns @WCMUrology are women this year. Gender parity takes time, esp in specialties w/5-8 yrs post-MD training💪🏻 #UroSoMe

@betsykoehne We had the same result trying the AR overlay in video chat on our dog. Very disappointing indeed. But I wonder what facial feature(s) could be "augmented" to trick the facial recognition algorithm? 🤔 Maybe putting on one of those glasses-nose-mustache joke props would do it!
