@RooodCanadian @Algore09algor @jkelovuori @ChaunceyGardner Yes, as per the link I added to this thread Grok got it very wrong to begin with. I interpreted this as a mix of compiled general knowlege and industry funding. So, I kept asking relevant questions until it came to an accurate and useful answer. :)

New Study: Nicotine vapes are not as dependence-forming as cigarettes. Who knew? The authors are VERY good scientists, but continue to use the 1990s-era stigmatizing term "addictive." "Addiction among vapers appears to be lower than that observed among smokers." journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/14…

@Adamnogender @Algore09algor @jkelovuori @ChaunceyGardner I said it was easy, and that I make the choice to keep it around. I don't have "withdrawal" any more than if I skipped coffee for the week. Your take on nicotine is quite lacking. You're like a zealous parishioner, who's convinced I somehow "need The Lord in my life".

Yes and you must feel really grateful and relieved as a result :) Do you know that the half life of nicotine is only about half an hour? You can go many hours without it with only a mild withdrawal (ie at night it drops nearly 100%). So just stop now! Also being clear that whatever apparent benefit is really nothing other than the relief from hanging out for it. Just try and see what happens. You might find it surprisingly easy :)

@Adamnogender @Algore09algor @jkelovuori @ChaunceyGardner We all know where Grok gets its answers. We've read every one of the "studies" it always cites ("independent" or not). They all use speculation as "scientific evidence", and embarrass themselves in the end. Like you're doing right now. 🙄

@Adamnogender @Algore09algor @jkelovuori @ChaunceyGardner I shifted from chain-smoking a cocktail of toxins, to vaping one harmless element of it without any urgency now. I leave my vape behind often, and I function quite well without it. It's like a cup of coffee. Vaping isn't hard to "quit". I only kept it on for the benefits.

Im not saying they work for everybody but they do work for a good percentage of many different types of people. Vaping is still a considerable public health risk so promoting ways to easily stop are valuable. Whether or not people take it is fine. If such knowledge is more widely know then it would help more of those who want it

@Adamnogender @Algore09algor @jkelovuori @ChaunceyGardner I'm definitely not "hooked on vaping". 🤣 Jeez, you just get more ridiculous, as you speak to someone you don't know, continually pressing the idea there's something "wrong" with choosing to enjoy things as they are. When all you've got is unsubstantiated, ideological "risks".

@RooodCanadian @Algore09algor @jkelovuori @ChaunceyGardner Youve quit smoking which is great but are still hooked on vaping. That is still addicted. Offering ways to stop that too is not restricting vapers but providing further options. They can take it or leave it but many wont even look into it because theyre too scared.

@Adamnogender @Algore09algor @jkelovuori @ChaunceyGardner Obviously, "experience" doesn't always impart "knowledge". You have your own ideas, and that's fine. Doesn't mean they work for everybody, or that they MUST work for everybody, or that anything is "wrong" with someone else's ideas. That gets into ideology territory.

Ive got plenty of experience. I smoked for 15 years and tried many ways to stop including NRT. I then visited a psychologist specialising in smoking cessation and she got me off it quickly and without missing out on it at all. She then showed me the basics and I did if myself for ten years. Maybe someone like myself knows more about it than someone like you who is still hooked?

@BlondeBigot11 I would argue that the rainbow flag should qualify as a religious symbol. It certainly doesn't qualify as factual educational material.

@rights4vapers At some point, we all have to stop asking each other if certain people in our government are incompetent or compromised, and face the fact that they're ALL COMPROMISED. 😔

@KelliDPowers That depends. Is the goal to make a crowd of people happy, or induce life-long trauma? ('Cuz I'm okay with either.) 🤣🤣

@mrmiley @phil_w888 @BerkEdge I think the same about the "guitar". Where do people like this even find such paraphernalia?? I've never seen any of these "child-enticing" models in any of my travel.

@Algore09algor @Adamnogender @jkelovuori @ChaunceyGardner Adam's obsession with finding any reason for everyone to avoid nicotine is a lot more "distorted" than any "addiction" he's trying to pin on vapers. Adam needs to talk about things he has more practical knowledge about, and get over himself. 🙄

I think we’re going in circles at this point. You’ve got a very fixed view that there’s one clear answer and that anyone who doesn’t follow it just hasn’t seen it yet or is being held back. I don’t see it that way. People’s experiences with nicotine are varied, and what works for one person doesn’t automatically apply to everyone else. I’m happy to leave it there.

@UnpopularO41346 @RealMattA_ And Katy's 41, and still dressing and acting like a high school slut. 🙄 I really should respect her more, though. After all, she is an astronaut. 🤣

I just handed a cashier this $80 and she had the nerve to tell me it's only $40. I'm offended at such transcashphobiaism. My $20 identifies as $60
