Just found out that by working as a consultant for the last year - on an 11 PA job with no private work - I have somehow put too much money into my pension (like I have any say or control over this) + now must pay a tax bill as punishment. I have to pay bills to go to work now?

Alerted to another year of pension fines as I work too hard for the nhs. So, I’ve asked to cut my hours and will decline all future requests to cover extra operating lists. No longer willing to pay to work myself into an early grave. #nhscrisis

21/ Clinicians are already busy dealing with unprecented pressures, & really shouldn't be dealing with this complex & unfair tax. Do the right thing @RishiSunak @sajidjavid & talk to @BMA_Pensions about a tax unregistered scheme like judges

@ZofiaWitkowska1 Hi. We are not sure either!! It is all dependent on NZ. At the moment & for foreseeable future they are not allowing anyone in. This makes planning v difficult. Are you a UK graduate as you may need to consider reciprocity. Not all graduates get automatic recognition by NZMC.
