CRUSHED IT "Rust is not hard to learn" has definitely been my hardest talk so far. I prepared it as well as I could, but I didn't over-prepare it to keep it more natural People laughed and I got plenty of questions! The best question got a free physical copy of my Rust book!

🎉 Our final speaker announcement! Iason Paraskevopoulos (@iparaskev) will be speaking this Thursday! 👉 With a background that includes founding an eye-tracking startup, and building robots in a robotics lab in Greece, Iason is now a GPU Software Engineer at @Arm, he's working on the Mali GPU driver team with a focus on Windowing System Integration. 💪 Outside of his day job, Iason is building Hopp, an open-source remote pair programming application. 📣 He'll be presenting: "Building an OSS Remote Pair Programming App in Rust" This talk walks through how the system works end to end, from cross-platform screen capture and input handling to low-latency video streaming. It covers why they chose Tauri for cross-platform development early on, the headaches caused by WebKit’s inconsistencies and WebRTC issues, and why they're moving towards a Rust-native UI. 🎟️ Tickets are still available!
