We are aware of the reported earthquake that occurred a short time ago. We have not received any reports of injury or damage at this time. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911.

The section of South Rd between Love Ln and Central Rd will be closed while crews are dealing with a damaged telephone pole. Traffic will be detoured down Love Ln and Central Rd. Local traffic will be allowed only up to the affected area.

Road Closure....Ocean Blvd from Harbor Rd to Washington Rd is closed while our Fire Department battles a fire in the area. Once the road is reopened, we will update everyone. Please drive safely and seek alternate routes.

Tonight 7/3/24 between 6-10pm, Sawyers Beach will be closed for a Fireworks display being set up for tonight. Ocean Blvd between Sea Rd and Jenness Beach will also be closed during this time. No vehicle or foot traffic will be allowed on the roadway or the beach in these areas.

The Fourth of July celebration is still on for this afternoon BUT will be starting at 5:30pm in order to let the storms pass.

Due to the weather this morning, The Town's Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at the Rye Junior High Gym. The Ceremony will still begin at 9:00 AM.

Starting tomorrow until Friday, 5/24, the Town of Rye is restriping the white and yellow lines on the roadway. Please do not park on the road and touch base with all landscapers and construction vehicles that maybe at your residence.

RYE ROADS UPDATE Rye roads are now open with the exception of Ocean Blvd between Brackett Rd and Parsons Rd due to a tree down.

Because of the beautiful weather, the beaches are busy. All parking at state beaches and on the public ways are full. Parking rules are being strictly enforced.
