How do you feel about the first year of Nintendo Switch 2?

@ObilityArts @NBinted XY: not only 2nd starters but getting megas instead of kalos ones. SM: all the regional forms were from Kanto & the protagonist too. SwSh: all kanto starters with gigamax, & 1/3 of gym leaders having kanto aces. SV: 2 base convergent were from kanto & the sprites on psychic gym.

@NBinted Ever notice how Charizard has genuinely been shoved into every gen after gen 5. Gen 6: Kanto starters in XY Gen 7: Ride mon is Charizard just cause Gen 8: Champion's ace is Charizard for whatever reason Gen 9: It's just in the Paldea dex, just cause.

Remember how they made a single Pokémon game that only had new Pokémon and people got so weird about it that every gen since has had to be a Kanto nostalgia fest?

@cecililytweets The thing that amaze me the more about this topic, is how non-artist people (the vast majority) actually believe professional artists don't design with intentions in mind all the time, they really believe artists turn off the brain and just magically draw and that's it.

Amplifying this cause I didn't see anyone mention tahk0's best argument: In the video, he theorizes the XY shapes come from mega evolution being directly linked to the X and Y shaped legendaries. Just like Dynamax has direct visual motifs from Eternatus and Tera from Terapagos.

Running through Silph the second time this year made me noticed that.... Hey, there's literally no female rocket grunts in the whole Kanto region. The first time you see a female rocket grunt is either in Johto or in Five Island of the Sevi Islands. Both after Giovanni leaves.

Estos Pokemon a nivel de diseño tienen mejor diseño que el 90% de la dex de PaldeaGPT. Le tienen más hate a estos Pokemon que son intencionadamente deformes que lo que la dex de PaldeaGPT ofreció.

@ToxicWeave I fucking loved Alola game-wise and card-wise, but no matter how hard i tried, i just couldn't get used to it show-wise. Firstly, because it was a really weird choice to redesign Ash entirely and it was rough getting used to the look, and secondly, this fucking theme.

@Swordblasterr @Luissantiago_so Tampoco, ninguna generación tiene en conjunto malos diseños, que unos pocos personajes o pokemon nos parezcan malos no vuelve el diseño entero del cast o la pokedex malos, aparte que es super subjetivo, esos pocos que no nos gusten le gustan a otras personas y viceversa.

@SBlue666 @Luissantiago_so No todas las regiones hacen bien el diseño de personajes en este caso Paldea y no es una critica estúpida decir que abusa de diseños reciclados que en vez de pasarlos como formas alternas te los hacen pasar con el nombre de "Pero el sombrero es nuevo"

@IkerTorterra No se ni recuerdo del anime entre sinnoh y kalos, pero al menos de los juegos Barry es mi menos favorito de todos los rivales principales de todas las generaciones

@Luissantiago_so @Swordblasterr Y criticando uno de los aspectos más pendejos que se pueden criticar de la franquicia, porque independientemente de que generación sea mejor o peor, todas hacen bien 3 cosas que son sus puntos base: -soundtracks -diseño de personajes -diseño de nuevos pokémon

@SBlue666 @Swordblasterr La verdad solo siento que el tipo esta odiando a toda una gen por odiar más que por algo genuinamente malo que tenga (que vamos, tampoco es perfecta pero se entiende)

@Luissantiago_so @Swordblasterr Pero es que es verdad que las formas regionales no son especies nuevas y no ocupan números aparte en la pokedex, si hay algo que criticar es que fueron todas especies de kanto, pero bueno de ahí salieron nuevos vulpix y ninetales así que no me puedo quejar.
