@ballboysfantasy In the first weeks, you might cash in four rookies/MP for an additional 150-250k.
This isn’t enough alone to get an additional premium.
I think the actual cause has been the extreme value of Xerri, Gawn and Grundy in 2024 and Baz and other forwards last year.

@ballboysfantasy One comment on the price rises from round zero. I don’t think this is what is enabling 23/24 premiums in games.
Each of your rookies will eventually have their price plateau. Your ability to cash them in is limited by the number of trades you have.

@ballboysfantasy One thing it does is reduce the number of players you need to select in the forward line. If it is a line with the worst options, then the positional scarcity does matter as you’re eliminating the need to pick another forward with more risk to your team than a cheaper mid/def.

I'm already seeing the Harry Sheezel arguement in the pre-season "He's gonna be 20points better than the next best forward"
My question is: Does this even matter?
He's priced 20 points more than the next best forward so you are paying up for that difference. In a Salary based game does positional scarcity even matter to start the year?

@eloiseg_31 @LiamMc99 Their backline was at sea without her. Without Daisy D’arcy they don’t have anyone who can cleanly collect the ball and rebound out of 50.
So many dogs goals scored because of their inability to do those simple things in H2 without Niamh.

And again… McLaughlin leading GCS disposals at HT with 18 playing in def… moved fwd for the 3rd & start of the 4th just for her to barely get her hands on it (4 disposals). Finally moved to the mids for the last 10mins & wracks it up w 10 in that time & multiple i50 entries.

@tim_michell No. These deals are complicated and the ability to do a deal creates conversation that need time to be worked through.
Clubs are managing an enormous number of parties/factors and the time allows for that to happen.

@SpudGunsSC @baloopa03 Unfortunately his one wood is being a long kick. But he doesn’t break lines, can’t hit inside 45s and is a horrific defender.
Add in playing selfishly 24/7 and this is no surprise. Any good coach would move him out of the role to let him learn a few things.

@magicmoments000 @enoFTTV So as the fourth quarter goes on, and GWS don’t make a comeback, the algorithm says this quarter isn’t worth as much and probably hands out half the points it normally would for a quarter.
As it does this, it adjusts all the previous points up to reflect their importance.

@magicmoments000 @enoFTTV This is just not true. The game has adjusted for the impact of scoring and actions for a long time.
As the game goes on, the algorithm determines which periods of the game were the most instrumental in winning the game. Last nights that was the 1st three quarters.

Bont was getting those scaling pts whether he was on the field or not. It's for all his work in the 1st half when the margin blew out as he was dominating.
A goal from Davidson or anyone in the 4th qtr once the game is over is not worth as many pts as it would be naturally.

im confusion SC gives points for players for doing nuTing in the last qtr eg Bont from 113 to 127 but when players kick goals they only get 4 points eg Davison from 48 to 52 after a goal why not just add the scaling after the game is finished and score the game normal
