If you got liquidated, this is for you:
Before you do anything, take a step back and touch some grass. You're in the perfect mental state to revenge trade. When you think it can't get any worse, it can.
Stay off the screens for at least 3 days. Speak to your loved ones, watch a movie, sit in the sun, do everything you can to stay off the charts right now.
After you've rested, you'll still feel like shit. But you'll be less emotional.
That's when you decide: are you giving up or is time to rebuild?
You are not the first person to suffer from drawdown, and you won't be the last. What you do now will define your next few years.
If you've chosen not to quit, understand how you can avoid this happening again:
- Avoid leverage entirely
- If you insist on trading leverage, gamble with <1% of total NW
- Withdraw 80%+ directly to your bank account after every big trade
- Never compound after a big win, reset to base size
- Size your positions in a way that you can sleep comfortably at night
- Don’t chase pumps you missed, there’s always another setup
- Don’t compare your PNL to others, comparison breeds emotional decision making
Remember: the only traders who make it are the ones who refuse to quit.
