The roadways have reopened.

Units are currently in the area of Meridian Ave and Blackford Ln investigating a fatal traffic collision involving a vehicle and motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced deceased. Meridian Ave will be closed off in both directions from Minnesota Ave to Hamilton Ave for an extended amount of time. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.
