4 years ago today, Lando Norris became the only driver not from Red Bull, Ferrari or Mercedes to stand on the podium during the 2022 season. There was 66 podium spots in 2022. Lando was the 1 outlier.

100%. The journalists seriously stand there and watch Lando search for the right words as he gives all these long, in-depth and thoughtful answers. They know he actually cares about answering meaningfully and he cares about how he's understood from his explanations. And they use it all against him, they purposely chop it up into the most hate-baiting half-sentence quotes they can create. Even worse is when they see a little opening somewhere that they can use to pull more out of him, knowing exactly how they're guiding him into things they're going to twist and exploit for engagement. I genuinely can't believe they can still stand there in the media pen and look him in the eye after everything they've done with him, especially when they've watched him really struggle from it. Now they have the nerve to stomp around and shout because they're getting the slightest resistance from the people who want to protect him from exactly who these journalists have shown themselves to be. It's all just so gross.

miami being the first repeat would be so full circle but I want this trend to continue lowkey

i dont like teams that dont make their own power unit but instead get it from their direct competitors. makes the whole sport feel cheap, rigged or scripted. we should get rid of teams that have been in the sport for decades and are still doing that
