From Torbay to Toledo! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ✈️ 🇪🇸 Our Year 8 students had an incredible time exploring Toledo, famously known as The City of Three Cultures. They enjoyed a fascinating guided tour around the ancient streets of the city, learning about its rich history and traditions.

Our Year 11 geographers headed to Slapton Sands to carry out their coastal GCSE fieldwork. Students investigated the evidence of longshore drift and the effectiveness of coastal management, particularly relevant after the harsh winter storms. #GCSE #Year11 #GeographyFieldwork

Nine of our students from years 9, 10 and 13 Y9, Y10 were invited to take part in the Devon Schools Languages Speaking Competition. They had to present in front of a hundred students from other Devon schools, and a panel of judges in either French or their native language.

Our Year 7 students have been exploring Easter traditions from around the world 🌍🐣 They learned that in Poland, people throw water over each other on Easter Monday, while in a small town in the south of France, people gather every Easter Monday to share a massive… omelette!

So she ran and went to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, "They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don't know where they put him." So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb. They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first; he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in. When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there, and the cloth that had covered his head, not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place. For Easter, our school came together to reflect on Holy Week in a creative and sharing way. Students decorated biscuits which symbolise the clean slate that Jesus gave us through His sacrifice; a reminder of forgiveness, renewal and hope.

Our Easter services today were a lovely moment for our school community to come together in worship and reflection as part of the Holy Week. The services included a student-led drama of the Passover meal, readings and prayers from our students, as well as time to reflect.

Our Year 12 students headed to Westpoint for the UCAS Discovery Event! They explored their next steps at one of the UK’s largest university and careers events, with the opportunity to speak directly to representatives from over 150 universities and colleges. #STCM #UCAS

Our Year 8 students set off yesterday for Toledo! It's going to be a packed week for the group; they'll be getting a taste of Spanish school life, meeting their pen pals, immersing in local culture, tours of Toledo & Madrid all while putting their language skills to the test!
