If you’re an @U2 fan, or just like this song, why? What does it mean to you, especially live? This is for posterity, so, be honest. 😂
Writing an essay about fandom communities for a class I’m taking.

@grumpywho1@U2 Thank you! I saw them in Nov 2001 here in St. Louis. It remains the best concert I’ve ever seen for that reason. The tribute they did was so moving. The entire concert was a communal grieving & healing together.
@STLProgressive@U2 Profoundly uplifting, the magical intro gives me goosebumps every single time, and I must've heard it so many times now. Enabled them to pay tribute to the victims of 9/11 at the Superbowl, without it seeming crass - so moving, and I was so proud of them.

@obeah323@ScottJenningsKY This. If the situation is dangerous enough for us to get involved militarily, no president should take 2 freaking weeks to make a decision. FFS.
Trump is not an isolationist, despite some trying to attach this idea to him. The president has always been for smart engagement, but that doesn't mean no engagement. We elected him for his judgment. On Iran: Let. Him. Cook.

@maggie_lavan@ScottJenningsKY Why do you think it’s gonna take 2 weeks to make a decision? 🙄
If it’s so serious that we need to attack Iran, 2 weeks is a mighty long time to wait to make a decision. These people are so blind.
@ScottJenningsKY “Trump will destroy Iran’s threat”.
He’ll have to invent it first before he destroys it. I expect if Israel gives him a bit of forged “intelligence” that will do the trick. He tends to believe any old tosh the Israelis feed him.
I was excited to hear that President Trump is open to the idea of being the next Pope. This would truly be a dark horse candidate, but I would ask the papal conclave and Catholic faithful to keep an open mind about this possibility!
The first Pope-U.S. President combination has many upsides. Watching for white smoke…. Trump MMXXVIII!
@PeterRVincenzo@LindseyGrahamSC Let’s say this is a joke. You think it’s appropriate for a sitting senator to suggest a president become the next pope? What is wrong with you?
@LindseyGrahamSC There are many many, many, many, many, many many many many many many many many many many many many on the left who will take you very seriously.
@MichaelGar63457@LindseyGrahamSC Is he? Let’s say you’re right, he’s joking about the president of the United States, which is supposed to have this huge wall between church and state, becoming the next pope. Graham is a sitting senator. Use your f’ing brain.
@LindseyGrahamSC What is wrong with you? Seriously. Do you hear yourself? Even if this is a joke, it’s in incredibly poor taste. It doesn’t sound like a joke. I wouldn’t put anything past you at this point. Shame, Senator. Do you have any left? Separation of church and state.
@BSteingraeber@marcorubio So, you agree with detaining legal residents without a warrant for the crime of disagreeing with you on a political issue? Please tell us what crime this man committed. Sounds a lot like you don’t support the First Amendment.🤔
@marcorubio Absolutely agree with this approach.
It's crucial to ensure that our values and safety are protected.
Taking a strong stance sends a clear message.
@JReeves28639@marcorubio Maybe because what they did was blatantly unconstitutional? You can’t disappear and deport a green card holder without a judicial order. That’s the fucking law.
@hipzippy@marcorubio He’s not here on a student visa, but is a legal resided with a green card. He can’t legally be deported unless convicted of a crime. Protesting, regardless of the issue, is NOT a crime. Eventually they’ll decide something you’ve said was wrong too. 👍🏻
Thank you. This is one of the things I voted for. And in true antisemetic fashion. Columbia University is about to speak out against the arrest and deportations. Not even hiding their antisemetic agenda anymore. You can't come to America on a student visa and organize and participate in racist and violent rallies.
