This pattern of gifting no bid contracts to friends needs to be investigated. The President did the same thing with some fountain repairs (in Layfayette Park , I think). The contract was/is for 17.4 million. In 2022, the Biden administration got an estimate for repairing the fountains, and it was for 3.3 million. Prices could have risen a bit in 3-4 years but pretty sure the current cost isn’t actually more than 5 times the estimate from 2022. Imagine the difference between the amount that we—the taxpayers—are having to pay for all the things like this AND THE ACTUAL cost….
