@Sacro @martindvz It was a forecast for 15 years after we left the EU ie 2035. Fact is that our economy has continued to grow despite other effects like Covid and Labour, as have our exports to the EU. It is nonsense. There you go, I'm credible and I've just debunked it! 🙂
English

@Sacro @martindvz That 4% figure was a forecast from the OBR of the impact of Brexit 15 years after we left the EU. It's been widely repeated as fact by opponants of Brexit, some even claiming it's 4% a year. It's been widely debunked though.

@iamthebadman @Elephantastick @SonVlad @seledka_vodka @robblackie I do understand things, I've not pretended I don't.
English

@iamthebadman @SonVlad @seledka_vodka @robblackie Yes?
I'm really not sure what the issue you're having here is.
You seem to somehow be linking citizenship with polling cards, I have no idea why.
English

@Sacro @SonVlad @seledka_vodka @robblackie OK, let’s try again.
'You can't get citizenship without passing a language test'
yet the state translates government envelopes into Bengali 'to make sure it’s understood'?
English

@Sacro @martindvz It took them 9 years to do a deal with Canada. It takes them ages to decided anything. Soon as one of the members has a hissy fit they have to go back to the drawing board and start over. Meanwhile an independent country can decide for themselves and have the deal done and dusted
English

@stevefroom @martindvz Wow, how do you ignore the big drop so easily?
English

@Sacro @martindvz Only there wasn't any major drop from leaving the EU. Our GDP has continued to grow, albiet hampered by this disaster Labour govt and exports to the EU have grown as well. Look at the data.
English

@stevefroom @martindvz For a negligible boost to GDP, far outweighed by the drop from leaving the EU
English

@Sacro @martindvz We got tariff and quota free access for more or less everything with some restrictions on our dairy produce. Cheese, yoghurts etc. The Aussies have stringent quotas on their meat exports to the UK for 15 years. Seems pretty good to me? 🤔

@aftmedical1951 @Edwina_Currie 20 minutes and the spare capacity that could be used up and down the country
English

@Edwina_Currie Pales insignificantly compared to the HS2 ripoff. 10s of billions spent, complete upheaval enroute and earliest start 2035. Just think how that money could have been spent on local projects to help transport issues. Oh yes only 20 minutes gained

@martindvz How is the EU Aussie trade deal better than the UK Aussie trade deal? Or are you just parroting statements?
English

@martindvz We don't want to rejoin a failing system that and we don't want eu's 700 billion debt, thanks but no thanks.
English

@martindvz Nah you’re alright thanks we had the vote you lost.
English

@martindvz Remainers win. Starmer takes us back in without a vote and in an anti democratic manner. We will have our revenge at the next election. Voters will never accept this.
English

@martindvz @StuyvesantAnna This is proof of government ineptitude. We don’t need to give away sovereignty to fix this we need to do better ourselves. That’s what leaving gives us self determination. It’s priceless.
English

@martindvz How is the EU-Australia 'one size fits all' deal better than the bespoke UK-Austrialia deal?
English

@martindvz The UK already has a free trade agreement with Australia 🤦♀️
This was negotiated 3 years ago after leaving the EU, a benefit of Brexit 👍🇬🇧
English

@martindvz "This deal is better than the UK deal, but don't ask my how it is better because I will ignore you."
